Q1. WHAT IS THE STATUS OF EMCONS BUSINESS ACADEMY FOR RUNNING THE TECHNICAL COURSES ?
ANS : We are a Training Institute imparting coaching classes and tutorial assistance on courses under Swami Vivekanand University, Sagar, MP. We conduct full time regular mode tutorial classes through experienced faculties to all our technical and nontechnical students to help them to succeed in the examinations conducted by the University and also doing relevant practicals and workshops as infrastructure at the Institute end. Emcons Business Academy will only provide tuitions, practicals, workshops, soft skill training, grooming , industry and site visits, survey training etc and prepare the candidates for the examinations after providing initial information about the courses and admission assistance and also make them job ready for the market. We will also try to help in internships and placements as extended help only to aid in employment. Please note that the Institute does not come under the scope of AICTE approval or under any approval of any Education Board or Department of any state.
ANS : The University is UGC Approved but not AICTE approved as it is not mandatory on the part of the AICTE to approve an University in view of the Honorable Supreme Court judgment in Bharthiadarshan University vs AICTE. But the syllabus of the university is at par with AICTE and it can be seen in the admission form and university website regarding approval of the courses by AICTE. The certificates and marksheets are issued by the University themselves and are valid for employment and in appearing for all competitive exams of State/Central Government and private industry as well.
ANS : The certificates awarded is UGC approved & AICTE approved course and hence eligible for appearing in all competitive examinations of state/ central government. All companies in Govt. and Private Sectors value the certificates for employment.
ANS : All registrations are done online and soft copy of registration is issued.
ANS : The practical in so far as the syllabus are concerned is done in course of the training provided so as to satisfy the relevant practical as per the industry expectations. But for the diploma in Engineering courses the practical of Hydraulics lab will be done through visual presentations and if possible through industry interface. The various Civil Engineering practical that is survey, AutoCAD, design and drawings are done as per the curriculum. Other test like Vicat, Slump Cone , G.I Sieve, Concrete testing are also done. The workshop trainings which will have physical exposure to various industrial machines like lathe, welding, bending, Vice of various types, Gas-Welding, Arc-Welding, Milling, Hydraulic press etc. The civil engineering students will also have visits to various construction sites to witness the construction activities, methods ,process and quality checks and various construction equipments as well as their functions. These Construction site activities will be done on a regular basis. The Electrical Engineering students will also do practical on basic electrical equipments like transformers, generators, motors, electronic and electrical gadgets, compressors, ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter, multimeter, ohmmeter, megger, high voltage tester, etc. The Computer Engineering students will have hands on experience in developing basic programs. The practical and workshops will be all oriented towards industry requirements and those practical which are not possible to be conducted in the centre will be done through visual aids with PowerPoint presentations and by downloading the features including pictures from the various sources.
ANS : Yes, you can do so after completing your diploma and take lateral admission where the duration will be 3 years. Otherwise HS qualified (PCM) or Vocational- Science (PCM) with 50% marks are eligible to do B.Tech courses. However an entrance exam will be taken in line with Joint Entrance Exam pattern, but those students who have already appeared in JEE will have automatic admission.
ANS : No, AICTE does not recognise technical courses under distance learning mode. Students will be required to appear for their university exams in the nominated centers of the university within the state jurisdiction as per the UGC rules.
ANS: 75 % of mandatory attendance for classes, practicals and 100% mandatory attendance for internal exams is necessary to appear for University final exams.
ANS: The University holds examinations according to its own schedule and convenience and in its preferred locations. If the students have to travel to outside locations for appearing in the exams, they will have to do so at their own cost and risks. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay in holding examinations by the University or publishing of results or issue of marksheets or certificates which is beyond the control of Institute. The marks are evaluated on gradation system and not on numerical as per the present policy of the University on date.
ANS: All tuition studies are done on a 5 day per week basis ( including Saturdays and Sundays ) with duration of 4 hours. These tutorial hours can be extended or reduced or modified to suit the education needs and completion of syllabus. Monthly rosters are notified and changes made in lecture hours whenever felt necessary.
ANS: They are to be arranged by students at their own cost. Book list along with the syllabus will be given to students. Students will not be allowed to enter the class rooms without uniforms and they will be marked absent.
ANS: Our faculties are mostly senior retired engineers of various companies and these faculties share their valuable experience with the students with various case studies and technical knowledge. The ratio of students to faculty is 20 : 1
ANS: Yes, the campus is under CCTV footage surveillance. Besides there is no ragging or politics in the campus. All indisciplined students are taken to task with guardian calls and monitoring the conduct which ultimately may result into expulsion if discipline is broken. The attendance is 75% mandatory. If less than 75% the students are not permitted to appear in the final exams of the university.
ANS: 60 nos for each stream of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, CS. Intake for rest of the courses depends on availability of seats. There are 2 shifts starting from 8 am to 4.30 pm. Selection of shift is at the sole discretion of the Institute.
